Had an amazing time seeing the band 3 play at the Key Club (the venue sucks!) … Although, per the staff we befriended, we were allowed to stay and talk to the bands during closing before meeting up with 3 at the Rainbow, per invite to hang out with them (we saw Ron Jeremy there). Joey decided to do a little artwork on the back of my “3” t-shirt (top portion). He asked if it was okay, then took his time while we were talking, before Daniel asked what he was doing and grabbed the shirt from him and drew a heart for me (aww!). Chris and Billy just signed their regular signatures, I’m guessing. I’m glad I was able to talk to Billy at the Key Club, because we didn’t see him at the Rainbow, even though he said he was going!
At the Rainbow, Chris and Daniel ventured upstairs with me so I could show them that area. Then we headed back downstairs… chatted mostly with Joey and Daniel, sometimes Chris, but he was always nearby hanging out. Later, I talked a while with Mike, an A&R guy Joey introduced me to, who once signed 3 with Roadrunner Records. We talked about music and the biz… then ended the night with goodbyes and hugs for everyone… such awesome people! The night exceeded my expectations! It felt like old times! All the bands rocked!
